Mechanical systems and apparatus are a focus of DP-NXA Engineering’s mechanical engineering team. We work in all aspects of commercial, institutional and industrial plant steam systems, cooling water systems, pneumatic, plumbing, as well as heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems. Our mechanical design engineering team is well versed in the design and code requirements of these systems. DP-NXA also has significant expertise in mechanical system design for computer rooms, chemistry labs, offices, production lines, production aids, research facilities, warehouses, paint booths, fume hoods, and more. We excel on projects that create work spaces and production areas for processes and/or products that are unique.
In-house design of demineralized water (production and distribution), hot water (instant, tank, recirculating), potable, waste water, hydronic, as well as other building support systems is also available.
We endeavor to deliver compliant and cost-effective engineering solutions to our clients, from studies seeking the best solution, from equipment sizing and specification, through conceptual and detailed design with identified testing/commissioning requirements. Throughout the engineering process we engage and keep our clients’ stakeholders as informed and involved as they desire. Our expertise includes areas of the “physical” – piping, pumps and valves; of the “analytical” – thermal, hydraulic, HVAC; and of “compliance” – codes, standards and the Owners’ special requirements. The majority of the staff are responsible for designs with Special Access Programs (SAP/F, ICS 705-1, or basic badged access). Our mechanical engineering staff maintains our technical edge through continuing education and service to industry organizations including the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers.
